Microneedling is a collagen induction therapy, which is a non-surgical and non-ablative treatment.  It uses small needles to cause slight voluntary trauma to the skin (little pin pricks). This encourages the body to create a wound healing response and renew skin cells. As the skin repairs, the natural production of collagen and elastin is triggered, giving an almost immediate plumping effect. This has a variety of benefits for the skin, including fine line & wrinkle reduction, improved skin tone & texture and brighter complexion. Immediate results are visible, however, a course of treatments is recommended to achieve maximum results.

We use the Raffine automatic microneedling therapy system, which is safe, effective and suitable for all skin types. It can be used on all areas of the face and body for a variety of purposes, including cellulite treatment, scar removal treatment and hyperpigmentation treatment.

The Raffine therapy system is far more advanced than roller needling. Clinical studies have also shown automatic microneedling devices to be more effective than ablative treatments like laser resurfacing, dermabrasion and chemical peels.

However, the Raffine is also just as effective as non-ablative treatments like IPL, CO2 Laser and Fraxel in stimulating collagen and elastin production to thicken the skin, thereby erasing wrinkles and smoothing scars.
